paper recognises oracy as a foundation skill alongside
reading, writing and numeracy.
Two interventions to support speaking and listening skills are the talking partners programmes.
tp@primary is suitable for EY through to KS2
tp@secondary is suitable for KS2 through to KS3
tp@1 and tp@2 are evidence based programmes and address specific
aspects of language and social communication skills with a proven
positive impact on language, learning, written language and behaviour.
Attendees will gain the knowledge and skills to deliver the programme or
to implement aspects of it in the classroom to support the development
of spoken language. All delegates will receive the planning / assessment
booklets, and a range of quality visual frameworks to deliver these
programmes back in school.
