Woodbridge SEND Service is proud to announce that it has been officially awarded the Trauma Informed Service Award by Trauma Informed Schools UK (TISUK)—marking the first time this recognition has been granted to any service across the country. Following a comprehensive validation visit on April 2, 2025, the team at TISUK reviewed Woodbridge’s policies, practices, and evidence, as well as conducted in-person observations. The award acknowledges Woodbridge SEND Service’s outstanding commitment to embedding trauma-informed approaches throughout all areas of working. Our staff continue on their journey to maintain and undertake extensive CPD so they are deeply knowledgeable, having a consistent, compassionate, and evidence-based approach. This award reflects the dedication and expertise of our team, and our belief that meaningful relationships are the foundation of positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

ABOUT US
Woodbridge SEND Service provides support for the inclusion of learners in mainstream settings, working across the North West. We are part of Woodbridge Academy Trust which includes, Ladywood School, Firwood High School and Woodbridge College.
The Woodbridge Team comprises specialist qualified teachers and teaching assistants with significant experience of meeting special educational needs. The service caters for pupils with a range of additional needs from 2 to 25 years.
Our aim is to help settings build capacity to give the pupils the very best support to ensure that they gain the most from the educational experiences offered. Woodbridge SEND Service works in partnership with other agencies from the wider professional community both in Education and Health Service.

Woodbridge SEND Service are proud to be a Widgit Centre. As well as using the fantastic Widgit products throughout our Training, Assessments and Interventions, being a Widgit Centre also means we are able to support our schools and partners with accessing Widgit's products.
