Dyslexia aware practice is shown to benefit all learners, not just those with Dyslexia. Creating a more inclusive environment with an emphasis on differentiation and removing barriers for pupils can lead to more engagement and accelerated progress. A quality mark for Bolton schools has been created in collaboration between Woodbridge SEND Service Service and the Local Authority.
The Dyslexia Aware Quality Mark aims To support schools in:
• Creating a more inclusive learning environment for all pupils
• Increasing staff knowledge around Dyslexia and develop a whole school approach to SEND provision
• Ensuring consistency in lesson structure and environment across the school
Registering for the Dyslexia Aware Quality Mark includes:
• Support and guidance through the process over a 2 year period
• Regular working party meetings and in-school visits
• An allocation of time for whole staff training
Cost:
£875 (7 sessions) p/a (over 2 years)
