Woodbridge Therapies – Meeting Needs Through a Therapeutic Approach

An integral part of the timetable at Woodbridge Trust

At Woodbridge Trust, we collaborate for a multitude of reasons over different timelines with many external partners. Across the Trust, we have a commitment to developing the whole child beyond learning and teaching and create a curriculum where we also aim to develop the social curriculum and overall well-being of the children and young people we support to become citizens of the future.

Our mission statement “Inspiring successful futures for all” is at the heart of all we do. We have many learners that benefit from further involvement from specialist therapy services. We aim for the therapies to be integral to every child and young adult’s timetable. This ensures that students get the most out of every single day spent with us. Here at Woodbridge Trust, we have a range of exceptional professionals located on-site, some of which include therapists trained in music therapy, drawing and talking therapy, speech and language therapy, and support many other specialists we liaise within the Bolton local offer. They work in partnership with both school and college staff to create strategies, targets and individual programmes that enable students to access learning and social opportunities across all settings.

Each setting will determine the offer of therapy services and decide what timescales and interventions is needed for learners. Learners identified receive a bespoke offer to develop for their individual needs.

Successful partnerships have three core aims to:

  • be mutually beneficial for all

  • be manageable and sustainable

  • have a measurable effect on children and young adults
