Partnerships and Awards

Woodbridge SEND Service is proud to announce that it has been officially awarded the Trauma Informed Service Award by Trauma Informed Schools UK (TISUK)—marking the first time this recognition has been granted to any service across the country.

Following a comprehensive validation visit on April 2, 2025, the team at TISUK reviewed Woodbridge’s policies, practices, and evidence, as well as conducted in-person observations. The award acknowledges Woodbridge SEND Service’s outstanding commitment to embedding trauma-informed approaches throughout all areas of working.

Our staff continue on their journey to maintain and undertake extensive CPD so they are deeply knowledgeable, having a consistent, compassionate, and evidence-based approach. This award reflects the dedication and expertise of our team, and our belief that meaningful relationships are the foundation of positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

In partnership with Widgit, we are delighted to share that we are now officially a symbol-friendly organisation.

Using Widgit Symbols enhances the way we communicate and supports our commitment to inclusive education. This powerful tool helps us ensure that the needs of all learners and customers are met — including those who are neurodivergent, have Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), cognitive or learning needs, or speak English as an Additional Language (EAL).

By using symbols to make information clear, accessible, and engaging, we are helping everyone to understand, participate, and thrive.

If you’d like to bring this amazing resource to your setting and improve inclusion, please get in touch.
All packages include full setup and a staff training workshop when purchased through us.
